Description

  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary project leadership to define and maintain the product technology strategy.
  • Direct the engineering organization to solve complex technical problems and deliver reliable game experiences using Unreal Engine and internal technology.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain an engineering organization of 30+ engineers, including internal and external co-development staff.
  • Manage multiple senior engineering leads by providing support, technical guidance, feedback, and career coaching.
  • Partner with production leadership to schedule, track, deliver, and close out game features and releases.
  • Identify, anticipate, and mitigate technical and project risks across development and live operations.
  • Communicate with PlayStation executives, directors, and technology teams as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience managing 20+ engineers on AAA game engineering teams.
  • Experience working with and directing co-development engineering teams.
  • Experience developing and operating online games in a live service environment.
  • Ability to align with leadership and executive stakeholders and translate goals into a technology strategy.
  • Ability to lead an organization while balancing cost, efficiency, and quality tradeoffs.
  • Ability to drive team alignment and buy-in on technology vision and architectural principles.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment using real-time chat and documentation across a game studio.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business, technical, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine development (preferred).
  • Experience developing for multiple platforms, including PC and console (preferred).
  • Experience with agile development methodologies (preferred).

Benefits

  • Base pay range of $255,000 to $383,000 USD for Seattle, with variation based on geographic location.
