Description

  • Lead multiple teams and managers, overseeing team health, staffing, performance, development, and delivery commitments.
  • Direct architecture and technical strategy for large Azure modernization, transformation, AI, and platform programs.
  • Define modernization blueprints, reference architectures, standards, roadmaps, and cross-team integration models.
  • Own enterprise data platform strategy centered on Databricks or equivalent lakehouse architectures.
  • Guide Databricks deployments, including Delta Lake, streaming and batch processing, Unity Catalog governance, workload isolation, and multi-region environments.
  • Lead architecture reviews, governance forums, executive discussions, discovery, delivery planning, and technical decision-making.
  • Mentor Senior Architects, Delivery Architects, and senior engineers while developing learning assets and career paths.
  • Drive account growth, strategic pursuits, solution design, estimates, reusable assets, and innovation initiatives.
  • Promote automation, CI/CD, observability, quality practices, and responsible AI-assisted development across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • 12+ years delivering enterprise-scale solutions in application development, cloud engineering, DevOps, data, or analytics.
  • 7+ years in solution architecture and leading development or engineering teams at multi-team or program scale.
  • 10+ years of experience in data platforms, data engineering, or consulting.
  • Deep Databricks expertise, including Spark optimization, Delta Lake, workload design, and lakehouse architecture.
  • Strong Azure-native data services and Microsoft technology architecture experience.
  • Proven leadership of enterprise-scale Azure modernization, transformation, AI, or platform programs.
  • Experience leading hybrid and remote teams across time zones in consulting or professional services environments.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum at scale, including backlog structuring, dependency management, integration planning, and release management.
  • Experience with automation, testing, observability, AI-augmented development, and integrating AI or machine learning capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant Azure, Databricks, or comparable cloud architecture certifications preferred; experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI is a plus.
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available.

  • Base salary range of $162,800–$244,200 USD, plus potential annual utilization or discretionary bonus.
