Description

  • Serve as lead strategist for advocacy, electoral, and policy campaigns across an assigned multi-state region.
  • Develop, adapt, and implement campaign strategies with local Planned Parenthood advocacy and political organizations.
  • Coordinate joint responses to federal, state, and local attacks on sexual and reproductive health and rights.
  • Collaborate across national and affiliate teams to align priorities, build capacity, and execute campaigns.
  • Provide campaign, organizing, legislative, judicial, and crisis-response support to local Planned Parenthood organizations.
  • Translate national office resources into usable support such as technical assistance, training, coaching, and grant guidance.
  • Conduct strategic planning to support supporter growth, public policy goals, and expanded health care access.
  • Track affiliate activity, maintain records, monitor expenditures, and provide regular reporting.
  • Build toolkits, templates, workbooks, and other resources for affiliates and their partner organizations.
  • Develop and implement systems that strengthen long-term organizing power and regional campaign infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of related advocacy and electoral campaign experience in organizing and management.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a regional or multi-state campaign manager or director, or comparable experience.
  • Demonstrated success running integrated advocacy, legislative, electoral, and organizing campaigns.
  • Strong project management and operational planning skills across multiple timelines and stakeholders.
  • Impeccable organization and familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent diplomatic judgment and strong interpersonal skills with a record of building relationships.
  • Ability to manage conflict and crisis creatively in a highly professional, confidential, and sensitive manner.
  • Ability to motivate and lead colleagues across divisions and geographies, including non-direct reports.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex political strategies for different audiences.
  • Working knowledge of voter databases such as VAN is preferred.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Strong race equity lens and experience in project management design, decision-making, analysis, and engagement.
  • Passion for Planned Parenthood’s mission and a self-starter mindset with creative initiative.
  • Ability to incorporate resilience best practices into project plans.

Benefits

  • Remote telecommuter position.
  • Full-time union role.
  • Salary range of $105,000 to $110,000 per year.
  • 50-75% domestic travel to various states and national meetings/conferences.
