Description

  • Define and document API specifications, endpoints, data models, and protocols such as REST and GraphQL.
  • Build and implement APIs using Java, Python, and related frameworks.
  • Ensure APIs integrate smoothly with internal systems, external applications, and third-party services.
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and debug issues to maintain reliability and performance.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for API consumers, including usage examples and best practices.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and other security best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Manage API versions and maintain backward compatibility as APIs evolve.
  • Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements based on user feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Degree may be substituted for 8 years of experience.
  • Advanced experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Advanced experience with Git, Java REST Web Services, Spring Boot, and SQL.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • Preferred: Intermediate experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, Python, and Ruby.
  • Certifications are not required.
  • Remote work location.
  • Public Trust clearance required.
