Description

  • Manage premium audit operations through team leads and individual contributors while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
  • Translate business strategy into audit plans and oversee day-to-day execution across internal teams and vendors.
  • Monitor audit completion, quality, customer satisfaction, profitability, and service-level metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with state and bureau requirements across mail-in, phone, virtual, and physical audits.
  • Develop operational initiatives, procedures, documentation, automation opportunities, and cost-reduction strategies.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Operations Performance, Underwriting, Claims, Billing, Customer Service, Compliance, and Legal teams.
  • Coach and develop team members, establish performance expectations, conduct calibrations, and support hiring and onboarding.
  • Resolve complex audit disputes, adjustments, settlements, escalations, complaints, and contested matters.
  • Communicate audit insights and recommendations to senior leadership and advocate for customer needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of workers’ compensation premium audit experience.
  • 6+ years of overall commercial insurance experience.
  • 3+ years of management or supervisory experience.
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience managing internal teams and external vendor relationships preferred.
  • Ability to work remotely from the United States, excluding territories, with reliable high-speed internet.
  • Strong knowledge of audit operations, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and customer dispute resolution.
