Description

  • Prepare offer letters, onboarding materials, orientation schedules, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding requirements including I-9s, E-Verify, tax forms, and direct deposit setup.
  • Manage offboarding activities, including access removal, equipment retrieval, documentation, and exit coordination.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records, employee files, PTO and benefits data, and organizational changes.
  • Support payroll preparation and reconciliation by validating hours, deductions, benefits, and payroll changes.
  • Administer benefits processes, including employee inquiries and open enrollment support.
  • Maintain HR policies, SOPs, compliance records, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Respond to employee questions about payroll, benefits, PTO, policies, and HR processes.
  • Coordinate training, compliance certifications, performance workflows, and appropriate escalation of employee relations matters.
  • Support recruiting through job postings, resume reviews, interview coordination, candidate communication, and hiring documentation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in human resources, HR operations, people operations, or HR coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with BambooHR, ADP, Gusto, Zenefits, or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Familiarity with U.S. employment and labor compliance, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEOC, and multi-state regulations.
  • Experience supporting onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Excel or Google Sheets, and HR reporting tools.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and deadline management.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment during U.S. business hours, with flexibility around onboarding and payroll timelines.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification preferred.
  • Multi-state or international HR/payroll experience, HRIS optimization experience, or experience in startups, SaaS, professional services, or high-growth companies preferred.
