Description

  • Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in Python, SQL, and Scala.
  • Ingest data from APIs, SaaS platforms, relational databases, cloud applications, and streaming systems.
  • Develop reliable workflows for data extraction, transformation, loading, and validation.
  • Manage workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or Luigi.
  • Monitor pipeline health, failed jobs, scheduling reliability, retries, alerting, and dependencies.
  • Design and optimize cloud data warehouses in Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Develop analytics-ready data models, including star schemas and snowflake schemas.
  • Implement data quality, logging, lineage, and anomaly detection controls.
  • Build and maintain streaming pipelines for real-time ingestion and low-latency analytics.
  • Partner with analysts, data scientists, BI teams, and product teams to deliver curated datasets and documentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering or backend engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Familiarity with Airflow, Prefect, or other workflow orchestration tools.
  • Strong understanding of ETL pipelines, data modeling, cloud infrastructure, and warehouse optimization.
  • Experience using dbt, Great Expectations, or data lineage tools (preferred).
  • Streaming experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub (preferred).
  • Experience with AWS Glue, GCP Dataflow, or Azure Data Factory (preferred).
  • Background in healthcare, fintech, or regulated environments (preferred).
  • Experience optimizing large-scale warehouse costs and performance (preferred).
