Description

  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers to support their technical growth and professional development.
  • Drive hiring and team growth to meet roadmap demands.
  • Own the technical strategy and roadmap for the data platform, including modernization efforts.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams on data models, schemas, and analytics architecture.
  • Partner with detection engineering and security stakeholders to ensure data quality, freshness, and reliability.
  • Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization strategies.
  • Champion adoption of AI-assisted development tools and workflows across the team.
  • Provide guidance through software design, development, testing, and release.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects while balancing technical debt and innovation.
  • Own production support for fielded deployments, including incident response and on-call coverage.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of engineering management experience leading highly effective teams.
  • Experience managing Agile teams and working in cross-functional product teams.
  • Cybersecurity or SOC experience required, with knowledge of threat detection, threat intelligence, vulnerability/asset intelligence, or ICS/OT security.
  • Strong technical background in distributed data systems.
  • Prior engineering experience with tools such as the Elastic Stack, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and dbt.
  • Rust experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows, with a track record of driving adoption.
  • Comfortable with hands-on development or troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • All new hires must pass a background check as a condition of employment.
