Description

  • Identify delayed or stalled prescriptions using data insights and take appropriate action.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with regional network specialty pharmacies, their leadership, and staff.
  • Inform pharmacists and pharmacy staff about patient access and affordability programs.
  • Partner with healthcare professionals to support complete, accurate, and timely prescription submissions to specialty pharmacies or health plans.
  • Serve as the network specialty pharmacy partner within the assigned geography and communicate with stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Support the Field Reimbursement and Patient Services Team through root cause analysis, process improvement, and training needs assessment.
  • Educate healthcare professionals and physician office staff on CoverMyMeds, prior authorization, pharmacy processes, patient assistance programs, and web-based provider tools.
  • Coordinate patient cases with HUB representatives to ensure patient and physician needs are addressed promptly.
  • Provide market access and pharmacy claims updates to National Account Directors and collaborate on complex patient cases requiring additional support.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical obligations, and complete business travel and expense reporting as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a licensed/certified pharmacy technician with at least 5+ years of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with a Pharmacy Benefit Manager, health plan, or healthcare provider’s office managing prescription fulfillment.
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy benefit design, including Commercial, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and prior authorization processes.
  • Experience working with pharmacies and/or office-based physician practices preferred.
  • Understanding of and ability to comply with HIPAA rules and regulations related to patient privacy.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with date-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to deliver presentations to both small and large groups.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, plus excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with data, analyze trends quickly, and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Ability to travel less than 10% on average, with variation based on business needs.
