Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop senior, staff, and principal engineers.
  • Design scalable team structures, career pathways, and workforce plans.
  • Set and execute technical roadmaps for distributed, high-performance systems.
  • Drive architecture decisions focused on reliability, scalability, performance, and low latency.
  • Integrate AI tools, automation, agentic development environments, testing, and telemetry into engineering workflows.
  • Coordinate delivery priorities and technical trade-offs with executives, Product, Design, Infrastructure, and other stakeholders.
  • Translate technical issues into clear business risks and opportunities.
  • Improve delivery velocity, observability, incident resolution, and engineering efficiency.
  • Build a high-performing EMEA engineering organization and resilient platform architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
  • 8+ years of professional engineering experience with complex distributed systems.
  • 4+ years of direct people-management experience leading senior, staff, or principal engineers.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, or similar programming languages.
  • Expertise designing and operating distributed, highly available production environments.
  • Applied experience with AI-first engineering practices and agentic development environments such as Claude Code.
  • Experience with cloud architecture, media processing, DevOps, or video platforms is relevant to the role.
  • Ability to align technical roadmaps with business objectives and communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
