Description

  • Lead and develop an engineering organization of approximately 16 engineers across four AI-focused pods.
  • Own execution, delivery, quality, and velocity for AI pod roadmaps and outcomes.
  • Manage cross-pod dependencies, sequencing, bottlenecks, and delivery risks.
  • Set technical direction and participate in architecture reviews across the full-stack platform.
  • Drive AI adoption in engineering workflows and member-facing product development.
  • Improve code quality, testing, observability, incident response, and CI/CD practices.
  • Coach engineers and technical leads while developing future technical leaders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and executive stakeholders on priorities and technical decisions.
  • Keep engineering work focused on measurable member and business outcomes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience and 5+ years managing engineering teams.
  • Experience leading organizations of 10+ engineers, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-native products with agentic systems, LLM integrations, or AI-first architectures.
  • Experience applying AI to engineering workflows and product features.
  • Experience managing multiple teams, cross-team dependencies, and delivery risks.
  • Experience with Agile or Lean practices, including Scrum or Kanban, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong technical direction and architecture experience for scalable full-stack web applications.
  • Deep knowledge of React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Redshift.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL, REST APIs, CI/CD, and observability tooling.
  • Healthcare or digital health experience, HIPAA/SOC 2 awareness, and audit-friendly change management are preferred.
