Description

  • Manage the progress of contracted projects and allocate work across stakeholders.
  • Create, maintain, and drive project schedules to support timely publication of books and products.
  • Adapt, prioritize, and reorganize schedules based on project challenges and opportunities.
  • Manage the health of the pipeline and coordinate end-to-end delivery with the Program Manager.
  • Plan production timelines and ensure projects are completed according to plan.
  • Nurture and expand relationships with authors and technical reviewers.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration with authors, publishing peers, and external collaborators.
  • Identify, problem-solve, and mitigate risks to keep projects on schedule.
  • Maintain process integrity and good publishing practices throughout each project.
  • Manage or escalate conflicts between deadlines, process requirements, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field; a technical degree is preferred.
  • More than 3 years of project management experience, ideally in publishing or a related field.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with proficiency in English.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability and comfort working under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain long-term relationships with authors and reviewers.
  • Experience using modern project management tools and methodologies.
  • Advanced organizational and technological skills.
  • Knowledge of the latest project management tools and practices is a bonus.
  • Demonstrated self-starter who is focused, upbeat, enthusiastic, and motivated.
