Description

  • Evaluate proposals and outlines for audience fit, jobs-to-be-done, and competitive differentiation.
  • Perform substantive editorial edits to improve structure, clarity, flow, and learning outcomes.
  • Own quality sign-off for products while balancing editorial depth and speed to market.
  • Maintain standards for plagiarism, responsible AI use, consistency, and readability.
  • Identify and develop derived content opportunities from existing and in-development titles.
  • Own product information, metadata, and Amazon A+ pages to improve discoverability and title performance.
  • Manage relationships with authors, experts, and technical reviewers to ensure productive collaboration and accurate content.
  • Coach authors and experts on teaching approach and help them respond effectively to review feedback.
  • Collaborate with Growth Leads, Relationship Leads, Program Managers, and Portfolio Directors on launches, marketing, positioning, and performance.
  • Research emerging technologies, market trends, version updates, and competitor activity to keep products relevant.
  • Monitor post-publication content health and recommend updates, new editions, derived assets, or repositioning when needed.
  • Use AI and workflow tools responsibly and contribute process improvements, documentation, and team capability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in editorial or content development for technical or instructional products.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into structured, reader-friendly content.
  • Strong author/SME management and feedback skills.
  • Excellent English-language proficiency and editorial judgment.
  • Quality assurance mindset with confidence in making readiness, rework, or cancellation decisions.
  • Willingness to own content success beyond editing, including multi-format enhancements and derived formats.
  • Familiarity with programming languages or a proven interest in technology (preferred).
  • Experience with multi-format content such as events, newsletters, labs, or research (preferred).
  • Awareness of AI tools in editorial workflows or software development contexts (preferred).
  • Project management experience in balancing multiple priorities (preferred).
