Description

  • Identify, develop, and progress a pipeline of strategic commercial, government, and research opportunities across South Korea.
  • Own the full sales lifecycle from qualification and technical discovery through proposal development, RFPs/tenders, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Build and manage executive relationships with senior stakeholders across technology, infrastructure, research, government, and national lab environments.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to align customer needs with IonQ’s hardware, software, networking, and applications platform.
  • Lead new-market creation and strategic sales activity across enterprise, government, research, hyperscaler, AI, and HPC segments.
  • Translate customer needs and technical concepts into business value to support adoption of quantum computing solutions.
  • Support long-term revenue growth, customer adoption, and market expansion in South Korea.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, strategic account management, or business development within complex technology markets.
  • Proven experience closing multi-million-dollar deals, ideally in infrastructure, hardware, advanced technology, cloud, AI, HPC, government, or research-led environments.
  • Strong ability to build executive relationships, manage complex sales cycles, and influence technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Korean and English, with strong cultural fluency and experience selling into the South Korean enterprise, government, or research ecosystem.
  • Existing relationships and market credibility across South Korea’s enterprise technology, cloud, AI, HPC, government, defence, national research, or academic ecosystems is particularly valued.
  • Experience selling emerging or category-creating technologies where customer education and long-term partnership building are critical.
  • Familiarity with quantum computing, AI infrastructure, HPC environments, quantum networking, post-quantum cryptography, or quantum-safe communications is a plus.
  • Experience engaging senior technical and commercial stakeholders across government, research, cloud, infrastructure, or advanced technology markets is preferred.
  • A STEM background in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • Prior experience helping customers understand and adopt new computing architectures or other highly technical emerging technologies is valued.
