Description

  • Drive adoption of OpenMined’s privacy-preserving evaluation infrastructure across AI labs, safety organizations, governments, and research institutions.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and identify high-impact deployment opportunities for the platform.
  • Work with engineers and researchers to define the next generation of infrastructure for privacy-preserving AI evaluations.
  • Lead high-profile strategic deployments with frontier AI organizations and ensure pilots and production integrations are delivered effectively.
  • Translate needs from AI labs, safety institutes, policymakers, and regulators into product strategy.
  • Represent OpenMined externally through industry working groups, conferences, standards efforts, and policy discussions.
  • Define the product roadmap, success metrics, and execution priorities for independent AI evaluation and oversight.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product management experience building or scaling technical products, ideally for developers, researchers, data scientists, auditors, or other technical users.
  • Experience in the AI auditing, AI safety, AI evaluation, responsible AI, or adjacent ecosystem as a researcher, auditor, AI developer, policy technologist, or product leader.
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to collaborate deeply with engineers on complex software.
  • Ability to reason about distributed systems, privacy technologies, AI infrastructure, and the trade-offs involved in reliable technical products.
  • Hands-on comfort with code and technical tooling, including reading PRs, debugging product issues, prototyping ideas, and applying technical judgment.
  • Strong AI ecosystem fluency, including model advances, agentic systems, evaluation infrastructure, and full-stack AI architecture.
  • Ability to bridge research and implementation and turn emerging technical capabilities into practical product directions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to align distributed teams and build trust across stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across technical teams, policymakers, safety organizations, institutions, and external partners.
  • Mission-driven mindset with strong product taste and the ability to make informed UX and strategy decisions.
  • Strong strategic planning skills and a pragmatic approach to execution.
  • Preferred experience with data science workflows such as Colab, Jupyter, notebooks, datasets, and model evaluation tooling.
  • Preferred contributions to open-source projects, technical standards, governance frameworks, or research communities.
  • Preferred exposure to public policy, privacy, AI governance, technology regulation, or institutional risk management.
  • Preferred entrepreneurial or founder-like experience building both a product and an ecosystem from scratch.
