Description

  • Maintain the books for a single entity through trial balance level.
  • Work closely with the UK finance lead to support finance operations.
  • Prepare and post journals, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Produce and maintain structured, auditable working papers and finance schedules.
  • Handle finance queries from distributed business users and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance, escalate issues appropriately, and communicate clearly across time zones.
  • Take ownership of ledger accuracy and complete work independently to deadlines.
  • Support the finance function as scope expands to additional entities over time.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting and Finance; professional qualification preferred, such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of post-qualified experience in financial accounting or a shared services environment.
  • Hands-on experience with journals, reconciliations, month-end close, and AP/AR processes.
  • Proven ability to take accounts independently to trial balance.
  • Multi-currency accounting experience and comfort working across multiple FX ledgers.
  • ERP system proficiency, preferably Sage Intacct or a similar multi-currency accounting platform.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including reconciliations, schedules, pivot tables, and lookups.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work to strict close timetables.
  • Self-motivated, highly organised, and able to manage workload independently without day-to-day supervision.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with experience collaborating across synchronous and asynchronous settings.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams is strongly welcomed.
  • Experience maintaining auditable working papers and complying with documented finance SOPs.
  • Nice to have: experience in financial services, commodity trading, or regulated environments.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with intercompany accounting and group consolidations.
  • Nice to have: exposure to internal controls frameworks and audit preparation.
  • Nice to have: experience supporting remote finance users or business units.
  • Nice to have: experience with payment platform processing, subject to onshore approvals.
