Description

  • Translate written materials with high quality, including new releases, marketing materials, support knowledge base articles, and other customer-facing content.
  • Adapt translated content to account for last-minute source changes and shifting priorities.
  • Manage both short-term and long-term localization projects while reprioritizing work as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively in a highly team-driven localization environment.
  • Deliver accurate translation and localization work in a gaming context.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members and stakeholders throughout the localization process.

Requirements

  • Native proficiency in Filipino, both written and verbal, with exceptional grammar skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent; emphasis in translation, localization, linguistics, or game design is a plus.
  • Relevant prior gaming experience for accurately translating content in a gaming context.
  • Experience in professional translation/localization work is preferred, especially games and technical translation.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adjust well to quick turnaround times.
  • Experience with computer-assisted translation tools such as Crowdin, MemoQ, Memsource, SDL Trados, or Wordfast.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and SharePoint.
  • Passion for PC or console gaming.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware, software development, or game design is preferred.
  • Familiarity with game distribution platforms is preferred.
  • Understanding of different game genres and game discussion groups is preferred.
  • Knowledge of different gaming hardware is preferred.
