Description

Translate and review content from English into Portuguese while preserving the original meaning for the target audience.
Work on a mix of informational, legal, marketing, product, and support content.
Perform translation, copy editing, and research tasks as part of the account workflow.
Take ownership of incoming work for the client account and contribute to program success.
Use CAT tools including Lucid and Phrase in day-to-day translation work.
Ensure translated content is readable and understandable for the target audience.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience translating and reviewing content in the specified subject matter.
Proficiency in marketing, product, and informational content translation.
Experience with translation and terminology tools.
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
Native-level Portuguese proficiency.
Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
Availability to cover PST hours, sometime between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM PST.
Freelance availability for an estimated 3-4 hours of work per day.
Preferred experience working with a variety of content types in a multicultural, international environment.
