Description

  • Strategically build, maintain, and expand relationships with assigned federal clients to support long-term growth.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for federal clients and coordinate additional internal and external contacts as needed.
  • Develop, lead, and execute client growth strategies aligned with federal agency needs and priorities.
  • Identify client objectives, procurement processes, and satisfaction levels to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Initiate and sustain relationships with federal stakeholders, teaming partners, industry partners, and relevant government entities.
  • Lead or support agency-specific, regional, or national engagement efforts to strengthen the firm's visibility in the federal market.
  • Coordinate with project teams and leadership to ensure proactive client communication, service excellence, performance, quality, and compliance.
  • Identify root causes of client performance concerns and help implement solutions that meet client expectations and contractual obligations.
  • Lead capture and pursuit strategies for major federal opportunities and align firm resources to deliver competitive solutions.
  • Lead client negotiations and ensure contract, billing, and compliance requirements are applied correctly under federal contracting regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, landscape architecture, public administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in the consulting industry.
  • At least 8 years of experience supporting federal clients, facilities construction, or operations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior-level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Strategic mindset with proactive problem-solving and sound decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with community, regional, or statewide engagement strategies.
  • Working knowledge of engineering, construction, land development, and business development terminology.
  • Strong understanding of engineering consulting within the federal market.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent client service and meeting or exceeding client expectations.
