Description

  • Support strategic customer conversations with technical and engineering leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Lead discovery sessions to uncover customer business requirements and connect them to Okta CIAM solutions.
  • Deliver interactive presentations and custom product demonstrations tailored to different technical audiences.
  • Whiteboard solution architectures that show how Okta’s CIAM solution supports customer requirements.
  • Design, build, and execute outcome-focused proof-of-concepts (POCs).
  • Prepare executive-level messaging and participate in strategic discussions aligned to customer business outcomes.
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Okta customer identity products, underlying technologies, and protocols.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance to Solutions Engineering teams across Okta and Auth0.
  • Collaborate with the Global Office of the Field CTO to surface field insights, validate customer needs, and identify recurring trends.
  • Represent Okta at industry and customer events through keynotes, webinars, and technical sessions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a presales or customer-facing role, including at least 3 years working on CIAM projects.
  • 8+ years of development experience, preferably focused on application integration with identity services.
  • 8+ years of experience working with REST APIs and SDKs.
  • Experience with customer identity and access management solutions such as Okta or Auth0.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas through whiteboarding, examples, and demos.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with innovative solutions.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization and manage cross-functional initiatives.
  • Travel up to 40% for customer meetings, industry events, and internal off-sites.
  • Must be located in the USA and attend an in-person onboarding session; this is a remote position.
  • Full-stack web application development experience is preferred.
  • Mobile development experience for iOS or Android is preferred.
  • Experience architecting and integrating scalable CIAM solutions using API-first approaches across web, mobile, and cloud platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with AI-driven customer experience integration with Auth0, including AI agents, MCP servers, and fine-grained authorization, is preferred.

Benefits

  • OTE salary range of $170,000 to $256,000 for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • OTE salary range of $152,000 to $228,000 for candidates in California outside the Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
