Description

  • Develop and execute a manufacturing strategy aligned with business priorities, KPIs, and external benchmarks.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and address root causes of inefficiency.
  • Promote best practices and standards across manufacturing and vendor sites, including nuclear-specific protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Coach and mentor design, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams in autonomous operations, problem-solving, and change management.
  • Ensure adherence to nuclear safety culture, EHS standards, and relevant regulations, including supplier factory risk assessments and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define improvement targets, track results, and report on cost, revenue, and culture impacts.
  • Build knowledge transfer systems, training programs, and best-practice repositories for global teams.
  • Manage project portfolios, budgets, and timelines for excellence initiatives in a remote environment.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and coordinate across conflicting priorities to deliver manufacturing improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in design, prototyping, and manufacturing operations, preferably in the nuclear, energy, or highly regulated industry.
  • At least 3 years of leadership or excellence-focused experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD design tools.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills, including presenting to senior leadership.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits, audits, and team collaboration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly iterative startup environment.
  • Experience with nuclear industry standards and regulatory frameworks such as NRC and IAEA standards (preferred).
  • Experience driving cultural change and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage risk, ambiguity, and open-ended technical problems.
