Description

  • Implement network contracting strategies aligned with network adequacy, development, and cost-management objectives.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with hospitals, health systems, national providers, and other assigned healthcare groups.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of contracting associates and specialists.
  • Review provider contracts and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Use provider financial data and competitor information to guide contracting and negotiation decisions.
  • Implement contracting policies, workflows, and efficient contracting processes.
  • Monitor network performance, costs, and provider satisfaction metrics and report results to leadership.
  • Resolve provider issues involving contract terms, reimbursement, and network participation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with providers to support network stability and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in healthcare network contracting, provider relations, or network management, including contracts with health systems, hospitals, or national providers.
  • 2+ years of experience managing complex provider network strategies and negotiating complex contracts.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in health insurance, including Individual and/or Medicare Advantage, or the broader healthcare industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Must reside in Texas and be available for frequent local travel and occasional company travel.
