Description

  • Lead and supervise a team of fabricators, providing guidance, support, and direction.
  • Review technical drawings with engineering and align fabrication processes to design requirements.
  • Develop and manage work schedules, assign tasks, and prioritize deadlines.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures for fabricated products.
  • Coordinate fabrication activities with production planning to support timelines and customer requirements.
  • Oversee workflow, equipment operation, and maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Manage raw material inventory and coordinate with procurement to ensure availability.
  • Enforce safety protocols, ensure regulatory compliance, and conduct safety training.
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs.
  • Train team members, maintain records, and provide performance feedback.
  • Coordinate with machining, assembly, welding, and outsourced fabrication support as needed.
  • Resolve fabrication issues and communicate across departments to support production goals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a fabrication-based leadership role.
  • 10+ years of experience in fabrication.
  • Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS).
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
  • Certified Welder (CW).
  • Certified Radiographic Interpreter (CRI) preferred.
  • Certified Resistance Welding Technician (CRWT) preferred.
  • Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) preferred.
  • Specialized welding-process certifications preferred.
  • Experience building fabrication capabilities within an organization.
  • Ability to build and inspire a technical team over time.
  • Ability to develop plans from a first-principles approach.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, highly iterative startup environment.
  • Strong creative, critical, and reflective problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a modern, active voice.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for technical content and results.
