Description

  • Own Oklo’s enterprise manufacturing strategy across external suppliers and internal fabrication.
  • Lead make-versus-buy, manufacturing-footprint, capacity, cost, and industrialization analyses.
  • Partner with engineers and suppliers during FOAK builds to evaluate processes, manufacturability, qualification, and production readiness.
  • Assess supplier capabilities, equipment, workforce, quality systems, capacity, and ability to meet forecast production rates.
  • Identify manufacturing constraints and develop mitigations including alternate processes, second sources, design changes, capacity investments, and selective insourcing.
  • Support supplier due diligence through site visits, process reviews, readiness assessments, and production-rate validation.
  • Develop industrialization roadmaps from FOAK builds to repeatable production, including yield, throughput, tooling, automation, qualification, and capacity ramps.
  • Establish manufacturing-strategy metrics and provide leadership with trade studies, recommendations, and portfolio-level readiness assessments.
  • Create reusable manufacturing standards, playbooks, and lessons learned across programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, materials, aerospace, nuclear, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, industrialization, production engineering, supplier manufacturing, operations strategy, or related hardware manufacturing, including leadership responsibility.
  • Ability to evaluate manufacturing processes, tooling, qualification, yield, cycle time, throughput, capacity, quality controls, and production risk.
  • Experience supporting complex, low-volume, or FOAK hardware through supplier selection, development, qualification, and transition to repeatable production.
  • Experience leading make-versus-buy, capacity, cost, manufacturing-footprint, or industrialization analyses.
  • Ability to turn incomplete technical, commercial, and schedule information into clear recommendations and tradeoffs.
  • Strong communication skills with engineers, suppliers, procurement teams, executives, and program leaders.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% to supplier and manufacturing sites and Oklo headquarters.
  • Preferred: MBA or engineering master’s degree and experience in commercial strategy, finance, business development, or corporate strategy.
  • Preferred: Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, semiconductors, energy systems, or other regulated hardware environments, including relevant fabrication processes and regulated supply chains.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $170,000–$220,000.
