Description

  • Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of high-performance applications using Ruby on Rails, React, and modern cloud technologies.
  • Build scalable, maintainable software for enterprise customers across a rapidly growing platform.
  • Design AI-assisted engineering tools, workflows, and automation to improve productivity, code quality, and customer outcomes.
  • Own projects end-to-end from technical discovery through production deployment and long-term maintenance.
  • Embed automated testing, code quality practices, and continuous validation early in the development lifecycle.
  • Manage scope, technical debt, sprint commitments, and reactive work to support predictable delivery.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and optimize application speed, scalability, and reliability.
  • Champion security, technical integrity, and sustainable architecture across the platform.
  • Mentor engineers through coaching, code reviews, and technical leadership.
  • Translate ambiguous product requirements into well-scoped, testable engineering work with clear success criteria.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Engineering Leadership, and R&D Architecture on technical solutions and long-term strategy.
  • Lead knowledge-sharing sessions, architecture discussions, retrospectives, and technical brown bags.

Requirements

  • 7+ years building modern full-stack applications.
  • Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and React, or equivalent backend and frontend expertise.
  • Experience designing scalable distributed systems for enterprise customers.
  • Deep understanding of API design using GraphQL, REST, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with modern data technologies including Kafka, BigQuery, Flink, Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to optimize application performance through benchmarking, observability, and scalability engineering.
  • Experience designing, building, or customizing AI-enabled engineering workflows.
  • Demonstrated success leading engineering teams through delivery, sprint execution, and architectural decisions.
  • Experience as a team lead, rotating lead, or backup lead, including stand-ups, retrospectives, planning, and coaching.
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to turn ambiguous business problems into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
  • AI fluency, including prompt engineering, AI workflow orchestration, evaluation of AI outputs, and responsible AI use across the software development lifecycle.
