Description

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure across Azure and AWS.
  • Own observability and monitoring with tools such as Datadog or Dynatrace.
  • Improve incident management, runbooks, and automated remediation to reduce MTTR.
  • Provision and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Develop operational automation scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Collaborate with VA engineering teams to resolve issues and improve platform stability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to DevOps standards and practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS.
  • Experience with Datadog, Dynatrace, or comparable monitoring and observability tools.
  • Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Familiarity with VA Platform, GitHub Enterprise practices, or VA.gov standards preferred.
  • Experience working effectively in a remote, collaborative Agile environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including during incidents.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation or security clearance.
