Description

  • Implement scalable Infrastructure-as-Code patterns with Terraform.
  • Own and evolve the Kubernetes platform, including EKS or self-managed environments.
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment frequency, lead time, and release confidence.
  • Design and enforce secure networking, IAM, and secrets management across environments.
  • Improve observability through metrics, logging, and tracing with tools such as DataDog.
  • Optimize cloud costs through rightsizing, autoscaling, and architectural improvements.
  • Develop disaster recovery, backup, and multi-region resilience strategies.
  • Modernize manually managed infrastructure into automated, testable, and reproducible systems.
  • Introduce infrastructure tools and architectural improvements, supporting adoption through documentation and workshops.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams on deployments, cloud environments, incident response, and technical trade-offs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Proven experience designing and operating production Kubernetes environments at scale.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud networking.
  • Strong experience building and maintaining Terraform modules across large cloud environments.
  • Experience owning CI/CD systems and improving DORA metrics.
  • Experience leading incident response and postmortem processes.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, Kafka-based event-driven architectures, and PostgreSQL performance.
  • Ability to modernize legacy infrastructure and eliminate manual operational toil.
  • Ability to independently take ambiguous infrastructure projects from scope through production.
  • Experience with AWS services including EKS, RDS, MSK, S3, Lambda, IAM, and VPC; Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and DataDog.
  • Proficiency with Bash, Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript as needed.
  • Preferred: experience with Kafka clusters, PostgreSQL or Redis tuning, autoscaling, service meshes, internal developer platforms, zero-trust networking, policy-as-code, multi-region systems, SLOs, error budgets, or chaos testing.
  • Remote employees must travel to Orlando, Florida at least twice annually and attend orientation in Orlando.
