Description

  • Design and build backend services and REST APIs with Python and FastAPI.
  • Develop and maintain frontend features using React.
  • Design and evolve microservices-based system architectures.
  • Deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain distributed applications on Kubernetes across cloud, edge, and on-premises environments.
  • Work across Google Cloud Platform and edge or on-premises architectures.
  • Design, implement, and optimize data layers using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
  • Apply CI/CD, automated testing, source control, code review, and observability practices.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code to translate specifications and acceptance criteria into implementations.
  • Review AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, security, performance, and requirements alignment.
  • Own features independently from requirements through production.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong full-stack background.
  • Strong Python development experience.
  • Experience building REST APIs and backend services with FastAPI.
  • Strong React experience.
  • Extensive experience designing and developing microservices-based systems.
  • Extensive hands-on Kubernetes experience, including troubleshooting distributed applications.
  • Experience with cloud, edge, and on-premises architectures, including Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, source control, code review, observability, and modern software delivery.
  • Experience working in AI-assisted development environments, including Claude Code or similar agentic coding tools.
  • Experience using structured specifications, requirements, and acceptance criteria for implementation.
  • Ability to independently own features through production and critically review AI-generated code.
  • Experience with Vue, TypeScript, or Java, particularly in modernization efforts toward Python (preferred).
  • Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine, GCP-native services, or edge/on-premises Kubernetes (preferred).
  • Experience in healthcare, medical, clinical, regulated software, AI/ML, computer vision, video processing, or analytics platforms (preferred).
