Description

  • Lead day-to-day operations of AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts and environments.
  • Operate the production Kubernetes platform, including EKS clusters, GitOps workflows, and supporting controllers.
  • Maintain and improve infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform modules and Terraform Cloud.
  • Operate the secure file-transfer platform to meet uptime, access, encryption, and key-management requirements.
  • Own observability and FinOps execution, including monitoring, dashboards, log budgets, and cloud cost controls.
  • Drive release engineering practices, including go-live runbooks, release coordination, and post-mortem follow-through.
  • Partner with Security and Compliance on SOC 2 and HITRUST audit execution, credential rotation, CVE remediation, SIEM integration, and third-party access controls.
  • Provide and operate infrastructure supporting internal AI and automation tooling so those teams have a stable platform.
  • Handle infrastructure-layer provisioning and teardown for client onboarding and termination, including accounts, access, and credentials.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of cloud and DevOps engineers while owning sprint planning, on-call health, and roadmap delivery.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
  • 3+ years leading or managing a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Platform team.
  • Experience operating a platform team with clear boundaries between platform and application concerns.
  • Deep AWS experience across VPC, Transit Gateway, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, EKS, ECR, ELB/NLB, Route 53, Lambda, Transfer Family, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
  • Strong Kubernetes experience with EKS in production, Helm, ArgoCD or another GitOps tool, and related controllers.
  • Strong Terraform experience, including module maintenance, Terraform Cloud, and production change review.
  • Solid CI/CD and Git experience, with GitHub Actions or similar, plus comfort with Docker and container-based workloads.
  • Cloud security knowledge covering IAM design, IRSA, secrets management, key and credential rotation, CVE triage, network segmentation, and audit readiness.
  • Practical FinOps experience managing cloud or observability spend.
  • Experience in regulated environments such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or HITRUST is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with secure file transfer at scale, such as SFTP, SFTPGo, AWS Transfer Family, PGP, or GPG, is a plus.
  • Experience with Datadog or a comparable observability platform at serious scale.
  • Comfortable using Jira, Confluence, and GitHub, and familiar with Agile/Scrum delivery.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification is a plus.
