Description

  • Analyze complex requirements and design documents to create detailed manual test cases and test scripts.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases, document results, and report anomalies and defects in the tracking system.
  • Develop, update, and maintain automation scripts and test frameworks to support new functionality.
  • Run load and performance tests and produce execution results reports.
  • Track defects from creation through closure and work with developers to reproduce issues.
  • Deploy software to test environments, monitor server logs, and identify errors or unexpected log entries during testing.
  • Participate in peer reviews of test cases and provide feedback to ensure coverage and alignment with client requirements.
  • Assist the test lead with release test plans, RTMs, regression test databases, and end-of-phase test reports.
  • Perform internal quality assurance checks on deliverables to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with client standards.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline and collaborate with DevOps on build and deployment automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5 years of total IT experience primarily as a software test engineer.
  • 3+ years of experience as an automation test engineer.
  • Proven experience as an SDET, QA Engineer, or in a similar test automation-focused role.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, JavaScript coding, framework creation, and API testing.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing lifecycle and testing methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex requirements and design documents to create detailed test cases and scripts.
  • Experience executing test cases, documenting results, identifying defects, and creating test reports.
  • Experience with Quality Center or similar test management tools.
  • Experience with UFT or similar automation scripting tools; basic knowledge of SQL, Atlassian suite, JIRA and/or Subversion, LoadRunner, and VB Scripting is preferred.
