Description

  • Define and execute the sales strategy across Distributed Generation and Utility Scale markets to support long-term commercial growth.
  • Build, manage, and expand a high-performing network of developers, EPCs, engineers, IPPs, and strategic partners.
  • Own and grow a portfolio of high-value accounts while meeting or exceeding revenue and margin targets.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities across DG and Utility Scale pipelines within strategic accounts.
  • Develop KPIs and maintain strong forecasting accuracy, pipeline visibility, and reporting aligned with company objectives.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Project Delivery teams to improve project outcomes, including grading, layout optimization, and energy yield.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create thought leadership content such as webinars, white papers, and conference materials.
  • Work with Business Development and Sales Operations to improve sales processes, pipeline management, and budgeting.
  • Represent Nevados at industry events, conferences, and executive meetings through presentations and external engagement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on market trends, competitive dynamics, and policy developments.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sales or business development experience in the renewable energy sector, ideally solar.
  • 3+ years in a senior, customer-facing leadership role such as director, senior manager, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales with a track record of exceeding multi-million-dollar targets.
  • Experience across Distributed Generation and/or Utility Scale solar markets.
  • Familiarity with energy policy frameworks and market dynamics across key U.S. regions.
  • Strong understanding of solar project development, construction, pre-construction, and project economics.
  • Exceptional communication, executive presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical and financial concepts into clear value propositions for diverse audiences.
  • Highly strategic, self-driven, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred; advanced degree a plus.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25–50% for client meetings, conferences, and company events.

  • Competitive base salary of $160,000 to $200,000 per year, depending on experience, skillset, and location.
