Description

  • Own and manage the full release lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, coordination, deployment, and validation.
  • Maintain release calendars, dependencies, timelines, and readiness across multiple products and environments.
  • Coordinate release activities with engineering, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate release risks, blockers, and interdependencies.
  • Establish and enforce release governance, quality gates, and release checklists.
  • Drive Go/No-Go decisions and conduct post-release reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead QA efforts to ensure test coverage, defect closure, smoke testing, and production verification.
  • Support test automation efforts and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
  • Act as the central point of contact for release communications with stakeholders, including leadership, customers, and customer success teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Release Management, DevOps, or QA-aligned roles.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience managing QA processes, including the software testing lifecycle (STLC).
  • Awareness of test automation frameworks such as Selenium or Cypress.
  • Preferred experience with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
  • Strong understanding of Git, Jenkins, version control, and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with multi-environment release management across Dev, QA, UAT, Pre-Prod, and Production.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Jira or Azure Boards, release governance, and change management processes.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; DevOps, Agile, ITIL, or QA certifications are preferred.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
  • Preferred experience in product development companies managing release deployments and product QA certifications.
