Description

  • Architect and implement clean, modular, scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservice principles.
  • Design efficient database schemas and write optimized queries for relational and optionally NoSQL databases.
  • Integrate Kafka or RabbitMQ to support event-driven system architectures.
  • Use Redis or Memcached to build high-performance caching solutions.
  • Contribute to the design of distributed systems that handle high throughput and concurrency.
  • Profile and tune backend performance across databases, APIs, and infrastructure.
  • Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests.
  • Own end-to-end feature delivery in an agile, collaborative environment.
  • Work closely with product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and other engineering stakeholders to deliver roadmap items and support platform needs.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of hands-on backend development experience in a product-based company, preferably SaaS.
  • Strong expertise in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, including RDS, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous, decoupled systems.
  • Proficiency with Redis or Memcached for caching and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and third-party service integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
  • Strong cross-team collaboration skills with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams.
  • Prior experience working in a high-growth startup for 2+ years.
  • Exposure to AI/ML-integrated solutions or interest in working alongside data science teams.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation, monitoring tools, or observability stacks.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL systems such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern development practices.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS/GKE.
