Description

  • Write performant, maintainable, readable, and well-documented code.
  • Develop automated tests to validate code correctness.
  • Deploy large-scale web applications.
  • Own code end-to-end from development through deployment and operations, including on-call support.
  • Work iteratively to improve product quality and performance.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, product management, and design.
  • Work independently in a fast-moving team environment.
  • Help shape user-facing learning experiences such as class discovery, accessibility, performance, and real-time classroom AI features.

Requirements

  • Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience with a core object-oriented programming language such as Java, C++, or C#.
  • Familiarity with backend services and technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with deployment systems such as GitHub Actions or AWS CodeDeploy.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as RDS, Lambda, and EC2.
  • Familiarity with Linux and command-line tools.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies as needed.
  • Experience developing websites with thousands of daily visitors.
  • Experience improving SEO performance.
  • Experience with AI-native productivity tools such as Cursor, Make, Supabase, Netlify, Claude Code, n8n, Firecrawl, ChatGPT, Grok, Bolt, Vercel, or similar tools.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Computer Science or related degree preferred.
  • Comfort working in an apolitical, mission-focused environment.
