Description

  • Write performant, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Build and ship large-scale web applications.
  • Develop automated tests to validate code correctness.
  • Deploy software through the full CI/CD lifecycle.
  • Own code end-to-end from development through deployment and operations.
  • Participate in the team’s on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers on product delivery.
  • Work iteratively to improve quality, performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.
  • Integrate AI into product experiences and accelerate implementation using agentic coding tools.

Requirements

  • Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience with a core object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or C#.
  • Familiarity with backend services and technologies.
  • Experience with deployment systems such as GitHub Actions or AWS CodeDeploy.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as RDS, Lambda, and EC2.
  • Familiarity with Linux and command-line tools.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies as needed.
  • Experience developing websites that receive thousands of daily visitors.
  • Experience improving SEO performance.
  • Experience with AI-native productivity tools such as Cursor, Make, Supabase, Netlify, Claude Code, n8n, Firecrawl, ChatGPT, Grok, Bolt, or Vercel.
  • Computer Science or related degree preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Understanding and alignment with Nerdy’s apolitical company stance.
