Description

  • Work closely with the architecture team to drive complex system design.
  • Perform code reviews and mentor the development team on best practices.
  • Lead key technical design and implementation decisions for complex systems.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable microservice APIs.
  • Design, build, and maintain sustainable systems that support business applications.
  • Improve engineering processes and procedures while promoting best practices.
  • Contribute to the end-to-end execution of compliance initiatives.
  • Develop new functionality and maintain existing components.
  • Work with PHI in paper and electronic form and complete required HIPAA, compliance, and security training within the first 30 days.
  • Maintain current status on Natera training requirements.

Requirements

  • BS degree in computer science, a comparable program, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of overall software development experience.
  • Experience building secure, scalable web applications with Java and other web technologies.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming in Java and open-source frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
  • Experience with cloud technologies; AWS preferred.
  • Front-end development experience with React, Sass, and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Experience with microservice enterprise architecture, cross-platform integration, and scalable applications in heterogeneous environments.
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle, including build, configuration management, change control, release, and deployment.
  • Strong relational database skills, including database design and optimization.
  • Knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL, AWS services such as SQS, S3, and SNS, Docker, REST APIs, event-driven microservices, Linux fundamentals, and CI/CD.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, analytical ability, and strong organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
