Description

  • Lead the development, validation, and application of health economic models, including budget impact, cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, ROI, decision-tree, Markov, and partitioned-survival models.
  • Integrate HEOR endpoints into clinical studies and real-world evidence programs, including resource utilization, economic endpoints, patient-reported outcomes, quality of life, and cost-data collection.
  • Analyze clinical-trial, observational, and real-world datasets to assess resource utilization, costs, treatment pathways, comparative effectiveness, outcomes, survival, budget impact, and quality-adjusted life years.
  • Lead HEOR publication strategies and develop manuscripts, abstracts, posters, presentations, white papers, and technical reports.
  • Translate HEOR findings into payer value propositions, value dossiers, reimbursement materials, economic briefs, value calculators, and account-specific tools.
  • Adapt economic evidence and payer models for the U.S. and international markets, including Europe, Japan, Canada, and Australia.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Market Access, Commercial, Marketing, Regulatory, and Business Development teams.
  • Manage collaborations with consultants, investigators, key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and external research partners.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree such as PhD, PharmD, MD, DrPH, or master’s degree in health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, pharmacy, health services research, or a related field.
  • 5–10+ years of HEOR experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, medical devices, consulting, academia, or a related healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and applying health economic models using clinical-trial and/or real-world datasets.
  • Experience supporting payer evidence generation, reimbursement strategy, value dossiers, market access initiatives, and scientific publications.
  • Deep knowledge of outcomes research, healthcare resource utilization, cost-of-care analysis, comparative effectiveness, real-world evidence, and value assessment.
  • Strong scientific writing, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Understanding of U.S. and international reimbursement environments and HTA frameworks, including ICER, NICE, CADTH, PBAC, IQWiG, and Japanese processes.
  • Experience with precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, companion diagnostics, ctDNA, MRD, dd-cfDNA, next-generation sequencing, biomarker-guided treatment, or organ health diagnostics is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Excel, TreeAge Pro, R, SAS, STATA, Python, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, and statistical analysis software is preferred.
