Description

  • Own order routing, execution lifecycles, internal ledgers, and automated funding and reconciliation systems.
  • Build resilient backend infrastructure that can handle concurrency, partial network failures, and high availability.
  • Integrate with clearing broker-dealers, international brokers, banking rails, FX systems, and KYC/AML providers.
  • Take end-to-end operational ownership of sandbox testing, monitoring, alerting, incident response, on-call, and postmortems.
  • Build internal tools and dashboards for operations, compliance, and support teams.
  • Support data pipelines that power real-time AI research and translation systems.
  • Partner with the CTO to define engineering standards for correctness, reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Design and implement systems that can scale from early users to hundreds of thousands of active investors.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience building, scaling, and maintaining high-availability production backend systems.
  • Proven experience owning mission-critical systems that handle money movement, balances, orders, ledgering, or other sensitive financial data.
  • Deep expertise in a modern backend language such as Go, Python, Node.js, Rust, or Java.
  • Experience with production data infrastructure, including relational databases, distributed event queues or streams, and caching layers.
  • Strong distributed systems knowledge, including data modeling, transaction isolation, idempotency, failure isolation, and state reconciliation.
  • Hands-on experience with on-call rotations, incident management, performance tuning, and postmortems.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and contributing to both product strategy and technical architecture.
  • Preferred experience scaling consumer fintech, crypto, or brokerage platforms to 100k+ active users.
  • Preferred domain knowledge in capital markets, including OMS, market data, tax-lot accounting, corporate actions, and post-trade settlement.
  • Preferred experience integrating with partner broker-dealers, clearing platforms, or BaaS APIs.
  • Preferred experience with double-entry ledgers, multi-currency FX rails, or stablecoin/on-chain settlement.
  • Preferred cross-border regulatory awareness or Korean/Japanese language fluency.
  • Preferred familiarity with AI-assisted developer tools and workflows.
  • This is a fully remote position in Taiwan.
