Description

  • Design, build, and maintain order routing and execution lifecycle systems.
  • Own internal double-entry ledgers, multi-currency funding flows, and automated reconciliation.
  • Build high-throughput, fault-tolerant systems with durable event histories, replayable state, idempotent handlers, and self-healing mechanisms.
  • Integrate with clearing broker-dealers, international brokers, ACH and wire rails, FX systems, and KYC/AML providers.
  • Establish engineering standards for correctness, distributed-system reliability, and production operations with the CTO.
  • Own production operations, including sandbox environments, monitoring, alerting, incident response, on-call rotations, and postmortems.
  • Develop internal audit, investigation, and issue-resolution tools for operations, compliance, and support teams.
  • Support data pipelines for real-time AI research and content translation.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience building, scaling, and maintaining highly available production backend systems.
  • Experience owning mission-critical systems for sensitive transactions, such as money movement, balances, orders, ledgers, or other high-integrity financial data.
  • Deep expertise in Go, Python, Node.js, Rust, Java, or another modern backend language.
  • Experience with production data infrastructure, including relational databases, distributed event queues or streams, and caching layers.
  • Strong distributed-systems knowledge, including data modeling, transaction isolation, idempotency, failure isolation, and state reconciliation.
  • Experience with on-call rotations, incident management, performance tuning, and postmortem writing.
  • Comfort operating in an ambiguous startup environment and driving problem definition, system design, and execution.
  • Experience scaling consumer fintech, crypto, or brokerage platforms to 100k+ active users (preferred).
  • Knowledge of capital-markets systems, broker-dealer or BaaS integrations, double-entry ledgers, multi-currency FX, or stablecoin settlement (preferred).
  • Cross-border regulatory awareness, Korean or Japanese language fluency, or familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows (preferred).
