Description

  • Lead the design, operation, and evolution of AWS environments, including networking, IAM, compute, storage, and managed services.
  • Drive infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform, Helm, and configuration tooling.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with appropriate production deployment controls.
  • Operate and improve observability capabilities across logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
  • Maintain application-stack security and compliance controls, including secrets management, access controls, and audit logging.
  • Partner with Site Reliability Engineering on reliability, on-call practices, incident response, and post-incident learning.
  • Guide application engineers on deployment patterns, environment management, and platform-aware design.
  • Plan and execute provisioning, migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning with rollback plans.
  • Document platform architecture, runbooks, environment inventories, and technical decisions.
  • Participate in a small on-call rotation for the application stack.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of combined Cloud, DevOps, Platform, or Site Reliability Engineering experience, including deep production AWS experience.
  • Strong Terraform proficiency and experience with CloudFormation and/or Helm.
  • Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably EKS, including cluster operations, networking, and Helm chart authoring.
  • Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent, plus artifact management tools such as Artifactory or Nexus.
  • Working proficiency in Python and shell scripting for automation.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Datadog or Grafana and defining SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs.
  • Knowledge of cloud security practices including IAM, secrets management, network segmentation, audit logging, and vulnerability management.
  • Ability to serve as the primary hands-on cloud/platform engineer on a small team and communicate technical trade-offs to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Experience in regulated industries, AWS professional-level certification, data-intensive platform infrastructure, or 21 CFR Part 11 migration/decommissioning work is preferred.
