Description

  • Identify, structure, and execute trial-level and enterprise-level partnerships and strategic collaborations with pharma and biotech, with a strong emphasis on top 30 pharma companies.
  • Build and manage multi-tiered customer relationships across decision makers, influencers, and project-level stakeholders in biopharma organizations.
  • Leverage an existing professional network in clinical development, translational medicine, data science, biostatistics, and real-world data to drive business growth.
  • Organize and lead customer presentations, including deck ideation and development, identifying the right experts, and managing preparation.
  • Generate, negotiate, and close contracts, including deal terms, pricing, IP terms, and other business/legal provisions.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Clinical Science, Product, and Data teams to assess opportunities, scope solutions, and deliver proposals.
  • Write proposals and support pre-deal process management with tight coordination across internal teams.
  • Serve as an expert advisor on external control arms, real-world data, and clinical trial innovation for industry clients.
  • Manage executed alliances to monitor client satisfaction and identify additional collaboration opportunities.
  • Perform other assigned business development activities as needed.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of direct selling experience in biopharma R&D, including at least 5 years selling data products.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently build relationships and execute deals across all levels within biopharma R&D and commercial teams.
  • Extensive experience with contracting, proposal/SOW writing, and deal negotiation.
  • Entrepreneurial experience selling in nascent industries and helping lead industry growth.
  • Experience building strategic partnerships with organizations of varying size and stage, preferably in life sciences or precision medicine.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to evaluate scientific, development, and regulatory risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage a pre-deal process closely.
  • Strong network and proven track record selling to pharmaceutical industry customers.
  • 25% travel required or more.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship provided.
