Description

  • Collaborate with business development, content experts, data science, and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and available metadata.
  • Map customer requirements to existing metadata and apply data modeling practices that maximize reuse and scalability.
  • Build and optimize dbt models that efficiently query datasets of up to 1 billion rows.
  • Refine dbt models through visual QA to ensure accurate datasets at scale.
  • Propose and implement automation to streamline and scale the data-curation process.
  • Serve as the engineering point of contact for business development, managing technical implementation, requirements, and delivery timelines.
  • Expand data-curation workflows to support data science approaches in dbt and more rigorous statistical review and testing.
  • Perform code reviews and collaborate on an optimized data engineering ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering.
  • Strong SQL skills, including query optimization.
  • Experience with Snowflake.
  • Experience with dbt (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with BigQuery (preferred).
  • Python experience (preferred).
  • Experience with ClickHouse (preferred).
  • Experience delivering projects in an operational environment (preferred).
  • Interest in data science and customer use cases (preferred).
