Description

  • Lead, coach, and set priorities for analytics engineering and web analytics teams.
  • Own the end-to-end semantic layer, including SQL-based data models and metric definitions.
  • Transform raw product and event data into curated, tested, documented datasets for business users and AI tools.
  • Automate data-quality checks, monitoring, and routine data curation processes.
  • Establish standards for data modeling, version control, testing, releases, and code reviews.
  • Partner with Data Business Partners, Data Science/ML, and Data Platform teams on scope and ownership.
  • Remain hands-on with code for critical data builds and technical decisions.
  • Design dashboards and data solutions that support business decisions.
  • Lead complex cross-team projects, define deliverables, and manage high-risk changes with rollout and rollback plans.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, data, or BI engineering.
  • 2+ years of people leadership or technical leadership experience.
  • Expert SQL and Python skills, including query optimization and production Python components.
  • Experience with incremental loads, deduplication, and slowly changing dimensions.
  • Experience designing warehouse, mart, and semantic-layer models using star schema, Data Vault, or equivalent methodologies.
  • Experience optimizing and troubleshooting cloud data pipelines, such as AWS Athena, Redshift, and Glue.
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow.
  • Strong engineering practices, including branching, code reviews, schema and data testing, and CI.
  • Experience establishing data quality validation, documentation standards, and root-cause analysis practices.
  • Fluent English and ability to build consensus across teams and time zones.
  • Experience with AI tools and evaluating outputs for quality, privacy, and bias.
  • Experience with dbt or a similar transformation framework, GTM, GA4, web analytics/tracking, or B2B SaaS/e-signature products (preferred).
