Description

  • Build and stabilize Mozilla Foundation’s field intelligence function, including landscape briefs, stakeholder maps, signal memos, and CRM practices.
  • Establish briefing and pre-briefing rhythms for the VP, Executive Director, and senior leadership ahead of high-stakes engagements.
  • Track and synthesize shifts across emerging and frontier technology governance landscapes and translate them into actionable intelligence.
  • Prepare Mozilla Foundation’s positioning, leadership readiness, and intelligence outcomes for major international convenings and multilateral moments.
  • Strengthen systems and practices so field relationships, intelligence, and strategic context become institutional knowledge across teams.
  • Serve as the connective intelligence layer across Mozilla Foundation’s programs to keep cross-functional work coherent and forward-looking.
  • Identify where Mozilla Foundation’s work intersects with national and multilateral technology agendas and help pipeline related partnerships.
  • Partner with the Technology Platforms team to design and maintain intelligence infrastructure such as CRM-based network mapping, dashboards, and knowledge management systems.
  • Produce shareable intelligence artifacts with Strategic Communications that translate field insights into external positioning.
  • Lead the Foundation’s preparation for and presence at major global convenings, ensuring key moments yield narrative, relationship, or intelligence gains.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience at the intersection of technology and power in policy, governance, geopolitical analysis, or institutional strategy.
  • Deep command of emerging and frontier technology governance debates, including AI, platform regulation, data sovereignty, digital infrastructure, and government industrial and development policy.
  • Strong existing networks in at least one major policy corridor, such as Brussels, Geneva, or London.
  • Reach into global majority contexts, including Sub-Saharan Africa, the Gulf, East Asia, and Latin America.
  • Fluency in institutional dynamics across governments, multilaterals, foundations, and technology organizations.
  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership before high-stakes engagements.
  • Strong written communication under pressure, with the ability to produce clear, opinionated, and useful briefings.
  • Experience designing or building intelligence systems that integrate multiple data sources and use technical platforms such as Salesforce, dashboard tools, or network mapping tools.
  • A technical, developer, or platform-oriented background is a genuine advantage.
  • Experience building intelligence practices, briefing systems, or knowledge infrastructure that compound insight over time (preferred).
  • Fluency working across policy and communications contexts, especially translating intelligence into externally resonant positioning (preferred).
  • Experience supporting senior leaders through major global convenings or multilateral engagements (preferred).
