Description

  • Lead the day-to-day management of a large, multi-state field organizing program across two to three states and four to five metro areas.
  • Support the Program Director with daily operations and serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and programmatic assistance.
  • Oversee data and systems workflows, including list-cutting, turf selection, and technical support for Lead Organizers and Neighborhood Captains.
  • Co-lead recruitment and manage hiring and onboarding processes for Organizers and Captains in partnership with People Operations.
  • Supervise between two and four team members, including managing the Data Engineer.
  • Help develop and deliver training modules, resources, and outreach model guidance for organizers and captains.
  • Lead in-person and virtual training sessions focused on outreach strategy and data tracking systems.
  • Manage quality control and measurement workflows, including follow-ups, outreach review, and QC metric monitoring.
  • Analyze real-time performance data to identify improvement areas and help leadership adjust strategy as needed.
  • Build a culture of achievement through trust, celebration of wins, and accountability.

Requirements

  • Several cycles of experience with in-person field organizing programs, on either the hard or soft side.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-state political or community organizing programs with budgets over $1M.
  • Several cycles of management experience, including at least one cycle managing managers.
  • Strong track record of training and supporting organizers and field staff.
  • Experience developing and running organizing-focused training sessions and coaching organizers on different outreach models.
  • Proficiency with Asana and outreach tracking platforms for managing workflows and identifying underperformance.
  • Experience managing data staff or third-party vendors is preferred but not required.
  • Deep commitment to non-transactional organizing and mobilizing disengaged communities in the Midwest and South.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
  • Candidates in Michigan or Ohio are a plus.
  • Willingness to work in a primarily remote role with likely travel to Detroit, Atlanta, Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati.

Benefits

  • Total compensation package equivalent to $101,875-$110,875 annualized.
  • Base salary of $90,000-$99,000.
  • $5,000 end-of-cycle bonus.
  • $1,875 worklife stipend in pre-tax dollars.

  • 401(k) matching.
  • Temporary role through November 15, 2026.
  • Priority consideration for applications submitted by June 1.
