Description

  • Identify, recruit, and engage qualified industry Project Leaders to sponsor and lead student capstone projects across at least four academic majors.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective Project Leaders to staff approximately 20 active projects each year.
  • Conduct outreach presentations to prospective Project Leaders and communicate the value of participating in student capstone projects.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from initial contact through onboarding and ensure a timely, positive experience for Project Leaders.
  • Co-create student capstone project briefs with Project Leaders so projects are appropriately scoped for a competency-based, online learning environment.
  • Guide Project Leaders in defining deliverables and milestones students can complete without direct faculty oversight.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, troubleshooting, and facilitation support to Project Leaders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Onboard and train Project Leaders on the software tools and platforms used to manage capstone projects.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for the university client and provide updates on project status, recruitment progress, and program health.
  • Support students with questions about their capstone project, platform tools, and program logistics while escalating academic or programmatic concerns as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience combining outreach, sales, recruitment, or business development with project or program management.
  • Demonstrated success in a client-facing role and ability to build trust and manage expectations across diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple active projects and relationships simultaneously.
  • Experience in online, competency-based, or non-traditional educational environments strongly preferred.
  • Comfort and proficiency with digital collaboration and project management tools, with the ability to learn and train others on new software quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt style for industry professionals, students, and institutional clients.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain consistent progress toward defined goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree; relevant experience may substitute.
