Description

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain production services, APIs, and user-facing interfaces.
  • Own the full software lifecycle, including code reviews, CI/CD, operations, and maintenance.
  • Build and operate production AI systems involving RAG, evaluation, fine-tuning, serving, and inference optimization.
  • Convert AI prototypes into reusable platform capabilities with CI/CD, evaluation, and governance.
  • Architect and operate AWS or GCP environments using Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD.
  • Own observability and incident response, and support security and compliance initiatives.
  • Track and reduce cloud and AI costs through budgets, attribution, right-sizing, model selection, and inference optimization.
  • Monitor cost per request, token, and GPU usage while improving the cost per unit of AI value.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable software and manage technical and cost tradeoffs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience owning production systems.
  • Experience shipping backend services and APIs.
  • Experience delivering production AI/ML systems, including LLMs, RAG, and model serving.
  • Strong Python skills plus experience with TypeScript/Node, Go, or Java.
  • Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent AI-serving technologies.
  • Experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD.
  • Demonstrated experience reducing or governing cloud and AI spend.
  • Ability to communicate technical and cost tradeoffs clearly and operate the systems you build.
  • Experience with React/Next.js, vector databases, inference optimization, FinOps tooling, SOX/SOC 2, or Copilot/Cursor is preferred.
  • Authorization to receive and access technologies controlled under U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
