Description

  • Own and execute large-scale technical programs critical to Motional's autonomy roadmap.
  • Drive model development and release cycles while aligning senior engineering leaders, product managers, and executive stakeholders.
  • Serve as the Directly Responsible Individual for behavioral capabilities and cross-stack integration efforts.
  • Manage dependencies across the Prediction and ML Planning teams to support launch of large models.
  • Dive deeply into ML and behavioral issues to facilitate trade-off discussions and drive technical convergence.
  • Identify, quantify, and communicate technical risks, blockers, and dependencies.
  • Develop and execute mitigation strategies for high-priority issues that could affect driverless milestones.
  • Partner with engineering and product leadership to define and align the ML and behaviors roadmap with company goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for complex programs and communicate progress and strategic recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management or a similar role.
  • Experience leading complex, safety-critical AI software, robotics, or systems programs.
  • Highly preferred experience managing large model releases and model development lifecycles.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong track record of taking large, complex programs from ambiguity to successful launch.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical expertise in robotics or autonomous systems is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity.

  • Salary range of $144,000 to $191,250 USD.
