Description

  • Own and optimize global payroll operations processes across entities, providers, and workflows.
  • Design, build, test, and maintain efficient, repeatable, and audit-ready payroll processes.
  • Introduce automation, system configurations, and workflow improvements to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
  • Partner with the Payroll Manager to support payroll delivery while enabling strategic ownership and governance.
  • Build and maintain operational frameworks, including documentation, controls, calendars, SLAs, and performance tracking.
  • Support payroll transformation initiatives such as M&A integrations, new country launches, and vendor or process improvements.
  • Improve payroll data quality, reporting, and visibility across Finance, Legal, and People teams.
  • Act as a bridge between Payroll, People, Finance, Systems, and external partners to keep operations compliant and scalable.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in process building, optimization, and improvement for scalable payroll workflows.
  • Experience in payroll operations within a multi-entity or international environment.
  • Exposure to payroll work beyond pure execution, including operational improvement.
  • Experience with UK and US payroll is highly beneficial, including compliance, statutory requirements, and operational nuances.
  • Comfortable working with systems such as Workday, ADP, Deel, and Payassist.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation tools to augment workflows, automate processes, and analyze payroll data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while balancing BAU support and improvement work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, service-oriented mindset and focus on root-cause analysis.
  • Confident communicator with Finance, Legal, People, and external partners.
