Description

  • Work with stakeholders to identify and scope high-impact Machine Learning opportunities in Customer Operations.
  • Lead the design and development of advanced Machine Learning models for query resolution and routing.
  • Explore and apply LLMs, RAG, and sequence-based architectures to improve operational outcomes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the Machine Learning discipline.
  • Steer technical strategy with MLOps and backend engineers to support rapid model iteration and lifecycle optimization.
  • Collaborate closely within cross-functional product squads in an agile environment.
  • Help resolve ambiguity for teammates and stakeholders while driving technical direction.
  • Own the end-to-end journey from business problem definition to measurable production impact.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of experience leading the development and deployment of advanced Machine Learning models in a fast-moving tech company or similar environment.
  • Experience developing and shipping deep learning, graph-based, and/or sequence-based ML architectures to production.
  • Extensive experience writing production Python code.
  • Strong command of SQL.
  • Keen to learn Go, which is used in many backend microservices.
  • Experience working effectively in ambiguous environments and helping others resolve ambiguity.
  • Product mindset with a focus on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions.
  • Ability to communicate ML concepts clearly to colleagues without domain expertise.
  • Nice-to-have experience in customer operations, capacity planning, forecasting, or regulated institutions.
  • Nice-to-have commercial experience writing critical production code and working with microservices.
