Description

  • Lead the design and architecture of POS terminal solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Ensure POS systems meet security, scalability, performance, and reliability goals.
  • Develop and maintain architectural documents and diagrams for POS terminal systems.
  • Make architectural decisions for POS software, including payment technology integration and hardware compatibility.
  • Lead development of POS-related applications.
  • Optimize performance and security for payment processing and EMV protocols.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align solutions with business and market needs.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for mobile and embedded development.
  • Define and enforce software engineering standards across POS-related teams.
  • Mentor engineering teams and participate in hiring and technical screening.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in system design, architecture, and development in the POS terminal domain.
  • Strong expertise in Android Native development using Java/Kotlin.
  • Experience with cross-platform mobile development such as Flutter is a plus.
  • Familiarity with other POS application platforms such as C and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of EMV security protocols, including chip-based transactions, encryption, and key management.
  • Experience with hardware integration for POS devices such as card readers, pin pads, printers, and peripherals.
  • Deep understanding of payment systems architecture, including payment processors and gateways.
  • Knowledge of software quality assurance principles in financial systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience with mentoring and process improvement.
  • Experience working with or understanding cross-functional product and engineering planning is preferred.
